Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating. We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.
There are no dues or fees for members; we are self-supporting through our own contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. OA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology or religious doctrine; we take no position on outside issues.
Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive overeating and to carry this message of recovery to those who still suffer.
What is Brandywine Intergroup of Overeaters Anonymous?
Brandywine Intergroup is a voluntary service board of local OA members who work together to achieve recovery from compulsive eating. Having found a solution, we desire to carry the 12 Step message to those who still suffer. At Intergroup meetings and through the work of committees between meeting, members support and encourage each other and provide help to area groups.
WHO MAY ATTEND INTERGROUP MEETINGS?
Any person who wants to stop eating compulsively is a member of OA. Any member of OA is welcome at Intergroup meetings as a guest. Guests are encouraged to share their ideas and opinions but are not permitted to vote. Voting members include: one Representative from each meeting, the Intergroup Officers, Committee Chairs, Region 7 Representatives and World Service Business Conference Delegates
